Internal document from the Drug Enforcement Administration complains that messages sent with Apple's encrypted chat service are "impossible to intercept," even with a warrant. I don't totally believe that messages are "impossible to intercept" - well maybe for the DEA - but if Apple really wants to I'm sure they could find a way. Anyhow at least it's more secure that SMS.
